Project Summary

This 323,000-square-foot expansion brought the facility’s total footprint to more than 512,000 square feet, enhancing operational capacity and long-term functionality. M. B. Kahn provided specialized masonry services as part of the successful Design-Build partnership with Moseley Architects, delivering a high-quality project through a collaborative and cost-effective construction approach.

Construction was completed while the 24/7 facility remained fully operational, requiring careful coordination, phased scheduling, and M. B. Kahn’s rigorous safety and security protocols for occupied and secure facilities. Through the integrated Design-Build process, the project team delivered innovative solutions and self-performed masonry, all of which saved the County more than $10 million while maintaining the required functionality, operational efficiency, and total capacity.
